Required Knowledge & Experience:

• Advanced knowledge of Flash and Photoshop
• Advanced knowledge of HTML, XML, CSS, and the W3C standards
• The successful candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their love of building efficient, creative, and usable interfaces!
• At least one year of experience in creating graphics and layouts for both websites and print material
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to clearly and articulately communicate ideas in both oral and written forms

Desired Skills:

• Basic knowledge of PHP and database-driven websites
• Experience in Corporate Identity Development
• Knowledge or experience with usability testing

Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for designing clean, efficient user interfaces and engaging flash presentations for both Alcaris and its clients. Advanced knowledge of interface design practices, storyboarding and an understanding of task workflows are required. The candidate will also be responsible for creating broad creative concepts from the customer's input. An appreciation of the revision process and dedication to the improvement of one's work are crucial!

The candidate, depending on the project, will consult with the Web Programming Team to ensure a cohesive vision exists between the user interfaces and the underlying software and that issues of interface design and workflow are taken into account. The candidate will also be required to prepare recommendations for the client as to the best medium and concept to produce their desired effect. Necessarily, the candidate should feel comfortable expressing their opinions and possess experience working in group environments. An appreciation and valuing of the opinions of others is essential.
